MetaCity Mall, MetaCity Atelier(Soho / Den), MetaCity Metier (Office) and MetaCity Hotel.
The building form are two towers on top of a shoe box, one tower at either end of the shoe box. The shoe box is the Mall and 4 levels of parking that caters for all of the components.
The first tower is the SOHO tower which is a rectangle box with the lift core in the centre. It faces the commercial area of Bandar Putra Permai which is less busy than the highway frontage.
The second tower is a sandwich of the office tower above the hotel tower with the hotel pool deck in the middle. The office segment of the tower has a slight twist that differentiates the office segment from the hotel segment. The tower takes advantage of its siting at the junction of Jalan Putra Permai and Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong to increase its exposure by turning the corner. The building is a truncated T with the head facing Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong and the body facing jalan Putra Permai.
The Soho Tower or the MetaCity Atelier retains the architectural style of its sister residential tower The MetaCity Residences. On the other hand, the MetaCity Hotel and MetaCity Metier office tower goes for the sleek, sophisticated look of glass wall cladding befitting its stature as a premier hotel and office space.
The MetaCity Mall has different expressions that respond to the different frontages. Facing the MRT station junction, the mall entrance caves in, creating a large 4 story grotto. The grotto is articulated as a green vertical garden. A green wall marks the division where the façade changes as it addresses jalan Putra Permai and the MRT Track.
Facing the busy street and MRT track, the façade becomes equally busy and lively with kinetic wall panels. Interspersed into the frenetic façade are advertising panels that somewhat balances the commotion of the kinetic wall. The façade turns the corner of Jalan Putra Permai and Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong in a glass wall cladding. A painted aluminium cladding wall panel cuts into the glass wall whose composition creates an art piece, an urban visual treat as the panel is accentuated by the glass wall backdrop.
PARCEL A – Serviced apartments and SOHO
MetaCity Residences I & II & MetaCity Soho I
Tower A faces the commercial area of Bandar Putra Permai in a U shaped configuration and Tower B faces the Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong in an L shaped configuration. The two towers are turned towards each other creating a private internal space into which a landscaped garden area is placed within. Whilst the outside facing units have extensive external views, the internal facing units are accorded with green views of the internal garden.
Tower A is a combination of a straightforward linear SOHO block that is tacked to an L shaped serviced apartment block, thus creating the U shaped configuration. Each block has its own individual lift core and vertical circulation.
The MetaCity Residences form is kept simple with few details that reduces the apparent mass of the towers. Interest is added to the towers by a visual play of extruded boxes that clambers up the building.
